Manic Monday!

Ever notice how busy a Monday morning can be? Obvious answer would be yes. It's the beginning of a new week, which for many signifies the start to a new work week, a new school week and the re-start of the marathon running around to soccer/swimming/whatever practice and lessons. This fine Monday morning signifies all of the above mentioned with some added chaos and manic behaviour.

Today PrincessPumpkin starts soccer with Daddy being the coach. Tonight should be one intersting evening. PrincessP only wanted to play soccer if Charmed, her BFF, was on her team. Ok no problem, Coach can swing that. So we pick up the soccer stuff last night and find that not only is Charmed NOT on PrincessP's team, none of the other kids from her class, which total 5, are on her team. This would sit fine with me except they are all on one team and PrincessP is on a team with kids from another school, who are all in the same class. I have a feeling this is going to be a long 8 weeks!

So to add to the ordinary chaos of a regular Monday morning in our home, Coach took the day off to get his business in order for an application process for a new career. Ever notice a man will leave EVERYTHING to the last minute? He needs to have a 45 page questionnaire filled out and in the mail today, an eye exam, get fingerprinted and see his Doctor all by the end of the work day today.

So as I sit here I have 2 hours until I have to pick GoldenRuffy up from school which means I better get moving and start on the yard work. Ahhh, spring cleaning, fun fun! After I pick him up and drop off his preschool buddy, I need to finish anything in the yard, do laundry, find a printable wrappers for popcorn bags for my Sunday School class to give to their Mom's for Mother's Day (any help in this area would be greatly appreciated), get something out for supper, pack for soccer, and get this house in order. Mess, can't live in it and can't seem to live without it!

My Manic Monday is just starting and I hope yours is going smoothly, I know we all have them. I hope I don't sound too complain-y, truthfully I'm so thankful God gave me this day, Manic Monday and all! Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Good luck with the roof this morning C!

  1. Oh Princess Pumpkin! I hope she is able to make soccer friends!
I totally hear ya on the male species saving things to the last minute. My sweet husband does that a lot. Prepping to preach on Saturday night after we've been out till midnight. Sigh. I just have to tell myself that it's not my job to make sure he is prepared.
